Our club started in May of 2004 when 11 turners got together in the Dirigo High School woodshop for the first time. We have just passed our 5th year anniversary and in that short time since the clubs inception we have been able to buy a new Powermatic 3520a lathe, Oneway Stronghold chuck and Oneway Wolverine sharpening system for the school.
Starting with David Lancaster we have started bringing in some world class woodturners along with some of our more local talent to demonstrate for our club.
The Dirigo High School is located at 145 Weld St in Dixfield, Maine. Turn into the second parking lot and the woodshop door is the one located closest to the giant dust collector. |
